Yoga

In June 2019, I began my yoga practice. At the onset of my practice, my primary goals were to enhance my flexibility, and develop balance. As a planner, I was thinking ahead to my older years. I’ve seen so many instances where the elderly fall and break a hip; this generally leads to a series of other issues that ultimately deteriorate.

As I’d researched the causes, I found that balance was a crucial method of helping to prevent falling when older. I also discovered that flexibility was important to overall good health, and an ability to move about more freely as the body ages. Although I am not personally afraid of death, I do worry about living a life where I cannot move freely, and have full command of my body.

So my practice began. I decided to give a view of my own yoga practice, as it has progressed. I hope that whomever decides to review these will gain a level of understanding, and positive view of the benefits of yoga, while at the same time keeping their own practice unique to their desires and capabilities.
